  • i'm interested in getting a second opinion about my Direct Air routine

I made this post on Reddit at: https://www.reddit.com/r/foreskin_re..._your_routine/

Also, one of the replies I received mentioned that wrapping might actually be counter-productive. What are everybody's thoughts on that?

I don't wrap because it seems to restrict the amount of stretching vs the pressure used. If I use more pressure, the bell slips off. Instead, I tug while inflating with great results.

I do inflation and I don't wrap at all. Like you said its counter production.

        No need to wrap

Some people are concerned about distension of the skin in all directions with the direct air or air balloon method. Personally, I have not been concerned about such distension and have never used the elastic band as recommended by Chuck Torres. The reason for this is very simple and convenient. It is easy to put on and take off when it is time to urinate and can be used in almost any situation compared to other more restrictive methods. The use of the elastic band limits distension, I believe, requires less air and could be a more aggressive method, in my opinion.

If you are wrapping to minimize the risk of your skin growing wider than you would like, I can give you some things to think about.

First, if you observe the width of your glans, and you consider that your goal is that the skin will drape over the glans in a relaxed fashion, and further you keep in mind that for inflation to work, likely you are keeping the opening of the skin tube well compressed and contained, you might find some comfort in not using a wrap.

Second, I cannot recall anyone reporting that after using inflation they ended up with a wider than desired, baggy restored foreskin.

Third, you can also minimize width-wise expansion by using balloons like these:

Amazon.com: 200 PCS Latex Twisting Balloons 260Q Magic Balloons Assorted Color Long Balloons For Animal Shape Party, Birthdays, Clowns, Weddings Decorations (With 1PCS Pump)… : Toys & Games

All that said, I do not think w have any evidence that wrapping is counterproductive. Yes it may limit width-wise expansion, but we are just triggering the cells to divide. It is not the stretching that is the goal, it is the triggering. And, when I try to visualize how this works, having the skin compressed between the air and the wrap could cause it to "squish" out laterally, which could, potential, be effective at triggering the cells to grow, so I think it is unlikely to be definitively counterproductive.

So the balloon used should they be the long ones ? Or the round ones?

I’ve been using the round ones that give me a nice bulge but isn’t doing much for length

I use the long ones. They do not expand much width-wise. For me it is easy to use them, I cut the end off, about 3/4 inch. Then slip that on the tube and tape it in place.

I tried round ones, didn't like them. Same with direct air, too much width-wise expansion for my taste, when I can use the long ones that clowns use to make balloon figues, hats, swaords, etc.

I am using the HyperRestore inflation device. After trying the DTR air - the HyperRestore is easier to use, stays on and is simply larger. I do not wrap and recently asked the DTR owner and he said many of his users tell him they do not wrap.

The thin ones are too skinny will not fit on the Tlc-x air white cone . That’s why I was the larger ones

Sorry if I was not clear, I am not using the TLC or other commercially made devices. I am using my home made device, based on what two other tuggers had come up with. I use a piece of silicon air tube for aquariums. Attached to one end is a blood pressure cuff bulb with valve that makes it easy to put air in, add more air, let off a little air, or release air. It just happens to tightly fit the air tube. at the other end I slip on the balloon. I cut about 3/4 inch form the end of one of those balloons. It easily slips over the end of the tube, then I tape it in place with waterproof tape.

the gripper I use is made from two baby bottle silicon nipples, cut so they nest inside each other, and glued with aquarium silicon sealant. This just slides up and down the tube, and over the tape holding the balloon in place. there is no need to the gripper to be fastened or air tight. I find this set up to work well, but if the size of the tube, balloon, and blood pressure cuff bulb had not been compatible, it would not work so well. In case you are curious, here are the specific items I use:

Balloons (I can't find the Qualitex Balloons anymore, these appear to be the same: Amazon.com: KADBANER 100 Premium Quality Balloons:260Q Magic Balloons : Toys & Games

Tape (though I get it at my local drug store: Nexcare 731: Waterproof Tape – 15 ft Length x 1" Width – Foam – Dispenser Included – 1 Each – Aqua (officeworld.com)

Blood Pressure Cuff Bulb with valve: ADC Adflow Bulb and Valve Combination - FREE Shipping Tiger Medical, Inc

Nipples: Amazon.com : Playtex Baby NaturaLatch Nipples, Medium Flow, 6 Count(Pack of 1) : Baby

I will also add that I need a bit of lubricant in order for the balloon to slip around in my skin, I use Astroglide Gel, available at my local drug store.
