    I'm really sad to hear about this, he was huge figure in this world along with the likes of Derek Townsend and Paul Russo.

    Very sad. An American hero, unknown to most. But he will be remembered by those who have reaped the benefits of his courage.

    Upon reading the news, I was just remembering the first time I attended a NORM meeting. I was pleasantly surprised to see him, still very much involved with the local group over 25 years after its founding (at the time). He was the sort who'd make you feel welcome right away, and at ease discussing what had been an awkward subject. The ones I went to were in Berkeley, though Wayne was also known to hold a few at his home in nearby Concord.

    sorry to see Wayne go. My condolences to his family and friends. Wayne's work in FR and his Intactivism were both inspirational to me and many other people.

    I'm glad I found him on the web several years ago and was able to thank him for all he did for me as a young hurt man in the late 1980's...... I am forever in his debt

    Remembering Wayne Griffiths

    We all owe a huge debt of gratitude to foreskin restoration pioneer Wayne Griffiths. Sadly, many of us may have missed the chance to tell him personally how grateful we are for his work.

    Marilyn Milos reports that Wayne died of cancer on March 17th.

    I've had email dealings with Wayne in recent months and he didn't choose to share that he was sick. The contact involved him generously finding help for a circumcision victim and following up to make sure the guy was taken care of.

    Wayne appeared in the 2003 Penn & Teller Bullshit! "Circumcision is Bullshit!" (season 3 episode 1) show. It stands as one of the most effective statements on the absurdity of forced genital cutting, thanks in no small measure to Wayne's gentle and good-natured advocacy.

    Wayne was instrumental in maintaining the NORM.org "organization" (although it has no official membership), and I would be very surprised if he hasn't secured a successor for his responsibilities, although I have no info as of this writing.

    Circumcision is Bullshit! {edit: I see the video pirating Showtime's Bullshit! series is already taken down. I believe the show has been on NetFlix.}
