  • TLC X learning curve

been using my TLC X for about a week now and I must say it's been a learning experience trying to get it fitted well.

I was gonna send it back but decided to persist and have found a couple different ways to get it fitted.

    1. With less skin I have to still push skin all the way to the end then apply the cone.

    2. Then I can squeeze the cone to let out skin towards the back while still keeping it pinched st the front of the cone.

    3. Then apply leg strap.

    4. Only now am I able to push the pusher down to get reverse tension.

    5. I hold the top of collet with left hand. Push with right, then twist to tighten.

I plan to add some kind of pusher locator so I can see if the pusher rotates while being pushed down.

Since you said it's been just a week, I wouldn't call it a failure if you weren't using any Pusher extension yet.

I highly recommend following the 4-Hour Rule http://TLCTugger.com/4-hour-rule/ {http://TLCTugger.com/4-hour-rule/} protocol to find an optimal tension level. It can take a week or more to dial it in.

I suppose you could put a stripe up one side of the blue rod with a Sharpie.

Fitment is getting better each day. It's such a nice device to use, the collet and rods have a great feel to them.
