  • DTR w/ Erections

Hi. I've had a DTR for just under a year and I haven't restored at all, because I feel I only want to regenerate my foreskin when I am aroused.

But I am in the "I want to do it for real this time" stage and I am having a problem with applying my DTR. I become aroused when I try to put it on, and there isn't too much slack foreskin to apply it with. There is some there that works to grip the DTR on, bur applying it gives me an erection and it becomes painful. I can tough it out and lose the erection, and then it fits just fine. But sometimes, I'll have an erection when I want to put it on and I can't because there isn't enough slack.

    Any tips to help out?

First of all, you need to both apply and use the DTR when you are soft.

If you get erect every time you put it on that's pretty normal especially when you're playing with new things and enjoying new sensations for the first time. If you get that aroused, go ahead and beat off. Enjoy yourself. Make it part of the process if you like so that you have an enjoyable experience rather than a frustrating one. If you are hard and beat off then your skin is automatically going to be stretched in the process. Use a warm, wet washcloth to wrap your penis as your erection subsides. As soon as you get good and soft, circle your penis with your hand an push your skin forward as much as you can over the glans. If you are able to stretch it beyond the rim of your glans then you're on your way.

I have just started restoring again after several years and I found that it was difficult to put my DTR on right away. I decided to spend a few days putting on moisturizers, doing manual tugging and using the TLC Tugger to relax my skin. After about 4-5 days I tried it again and it was quite easy to put on. In other words, even though I had been using the DTR on a regular basis years before, my skin was not as elastic as before, but manual tugging and retaining helped to relax it. I had the same difficulties you are having when I first started and manual tugging helped then as well. Give that a try for a week or so and see if you can get it on while flaccid. Use the wet, warm washcloth repeatedly tugging as well. The heat helps expand your skin and makes it more pliable.

Rather than using the DTR initially, you can practice by using the gripper by itself after your push your skin over your glans as far as you can while soft. I retain this way sometimes. If you get hard doing this you won't have any pain, it will just slip off. Just try again once you're soft. Once you've mastered that, then you can use the DTR push plate all by itself to apply pressure on your glans as you roll your skin forward and then put the gripper on. It takes some trial and error, but you don't have to completely cover the push plate. As long as you can get at least and 1/8" under the gripper then you're good to start.

After some manual tugging with creme moisturizer and retaining for a week or so, you should be able to try then entire DTR device again and get started on your path to restoring your foreskin. If you can't get it on comfortably, continue with the push plate and gripper until you can.

When you're tugging, don't worry if you get hard. Just continue to stretch your skin forward to the glans hand over hand. If you get excited enough to cum then go for it. After you've rested then you can focus on using your thumbs to roll your skin over your index fingers enough to stretch downwards, stretch and repeat going all around your penis. Trial and error is the key.

I hope these ideas help. Keep tugging and you'll be fine.
