  • Where should you feel tension...

Oddly I'm a C3 because I'm a grower, even though erections used to hurt because I was cut tight. Anyways I am able to use the Cat II Q because I apply Mefix tape first. I tend to do this M-F while sitting at the desk. Then remove the tape and take a break on the weekend.

Anyways onto the question. I try to apply the Mefix tape at the scar line to the pull is even on inner vs outer skin. First I get it on, and wait 10-30 minutes. then I'll adjust and make things a bit tighter. I stop and loosen if it's uncomfortable. What's confusing to me is it seems like the only place i end up feeling tension/pressure is the end of glans. I assume this is normal, but it's just "wierd" to me. Note, I am only applying tension by pushing the plunger in, the smallest amounts possible at a time, not fast or alot at a time. I'm not using something to "pull" away from my body. Is that a mistake?

    Thank You for your time.

For reasons I discuss here: https://tlctugger.com/tlc-tugger-or-tlc-x/ {https://tlctugger.com/tlc-tugger-or-tlc-x/} I recommend adding straps or weights when possible.

If you hope to tension all the skin without straps or weights, you'll need to apply the device more aggressively, wrestling your outer skin into gripping position and trapping it there, capturing some tension as you place the retaining shell. Then you balance that with inner tension from the pushing action.

As you will doing a more harried application, you're more likely to trap skin wrinkles and unevenness. So turn the 4-Hour Rule http://TLCTugger.com/4-hour-rule/ {http://TLCTugger.com/4-hour-rule/} into a 2-hour rule for this context.

I have used tape for most of my restoration. I used the tape with a home made insert. Very similar it sounds to what you are doing. The tape was at my scar line, the insert pushed my glans into the tape/skin tube. It worked well for me. No pulling was needed.

      Here is a link to a description: greg_b-t-tape-strips-and-insert-llustrated.pdf (restoringforeskin.org)

I now use inflation. It works in a very similar way, but uses a gripper. The balloon does what the insert did, but in a custom fitted way.

With both methods, I never felt a need to do anything other than push the insert or fill the balloon. I would say that you sound like you are doing fine.

If you're pulling until it's tight, then you're likely getting enough tension. Try not to judge the amount of tension by how it feels - if you underestimate the amount you're using, and ignore tension that's too high for too long, it can result in irritation or even skin tears at the end of the day.

You'll eventually grow enough skin to use the silicone gripper that came with the CAT II Q, making it easier to adjust the skin underneath than it would be with tape. I have this device as well. By trapping too much skin under the gripper at first, then gently lifting it up on the sides and pulling skin out, it's possible to get the tension fairly even all the way around.

I got the CAT II Q long enough ago that the silicone gripper didn't exist. Or at least wasn't part of the normal purchase. Once I get to not needing tape I'll see about getting a newer one.
