  • Back after 3 years away from restoring and have one question

I started restoring back in 2013, when I was 15 years old. Stopped restoring for 3 wasted years because of depression, gender dysphoria, lost all my progress as my penis grew into the newly expanded skin.

Now that I'm starting my transgender transition, my interest in restoring has resurged as I care much more about my body and appearance now. The hormone/estrogen therapy is giving me nice changes, breast growth, so foreskin restoration is yet another change to accompany everything else, all involves patience (breast growth is quite slow too) it's like a master body improvement plan.

Does tugging have to be continuous for at least 10 hours a day, like I will do with the TLC tugger, or does manual tugging for shorter periods at higher tension also induce mitosis?

I believe there was a thread in the original forum that found that tugging relatively briefly (someone will have to weigh in to quantify "relatively") works just as well as tugging all day. I've seen really good progress lately with manual method 2, although I find myself having doubts. Perhaps my skin is just growing looser as I get older or maybe the onset of winter is causing my CI to artificially increase. My sessions are extremely limited: about one hour twice every month while my girlfriend is on her period and we're not having sex. I don't remember my initial CI (probably around a 2), but I was able to get up to a 3 or 3.5 with varying amounts of t-taping, the canister method, the TLC Tugger, and then retaining. I was stuck around CI-3 when I switched to manual tugging and I now seem to be around a 4. When the weather is cold and I don't have an erection, my penis even looks uncircumcised, which can be a real treat. If you have a lot of alone time, I recommend manual tugging while watching television. Much of my progress was made by tugging for one hour a night watching Mad Men (we only got about 30 episodes in before taking an extended break from it).

My experience is that time is not very important. short time under tension work as well for me as longer times. I currently tug for 20 minutes, twice a day, 5 days a week and have as good or better progress than when I tried longer tugging regimens, such as 24/7, and 6 hours a day.

For me, the key has been getting the tension right. Too little and my progress falls way off. Note that I am NOT saying more is better, rather I am saying the correct amount is better. For me that is enough tension to be on the verge of discomfort, but after a few moments, I can forget I have anything on.

Others report that what sounds like less tension works best for them. I recommend taking some time to experiment and find what works best for you.

      Happy Holidays!

This is the 2nd thread started by a trans member recently. Pardon me if this is naive but I was just wondering.

If you are a M2F pre-op transsexual, why bother w/foreskin restoration if the eventual goal is to remove your penis eventually post-op? Seems like a waste of time in this context.

          Two things:

First, sex reassignment surgery is not about "removing the penis". It's a reshaping of the structures and having more skin to work with when constructing a vagina is a big plus.

Second, not every transgender person is interested in sex reassignment surgery. There are women out there who are otherwise completely indistinguishable from other women except for the fact that they have a penis.
