If there was any sort of actual trauma there would be visible signs by this time. The body tries to repair itself, which is what visible signs represent. If there aren't any visible signs, then by definition there isn't lasting trauma. There isn't anything that "deep" in your fenulum. Yes, there are sensitive nerves located under the mucosa, but they aren't deep in any sense of the term.

But ... being scared (you've used the word "scary"), because you've discovered that you can cause yourself pain (it is a delicate area), can amplify what was a minor event, and change how you look at it. So do this:

Tug manually. Don't use a device for now. Devices are seen as 'other than us' because they are artificial. Tugging manually puts "you" and your body together: your brain, your fingers, your shaft skin and your body's healing process, all working together.

Try it. And give it time.

Anyone else have any input? Still having some pain and the sensation is not what it used to be. I am continuing to improve but it is quite scary.

Thanks for the reassurance, it is slightly improved today but still have some healing to do, i hope the sensation returns to how it was. I will contact you in the future for some advice on t-tape as I think I want to give that another go for a while.

Sorry to hear that your frenulum is hurting.

You have learned that when you take a vacation from tugging, it takes time for your penis to readapt to wearing your device once again. Once you heal, begin with a lower tension and work your way up once again.

Restoring is like training for the sport of distance running. It's better to gradually work you way up to running faster and longer. You don't want to risk injury, because once you injure yourself, and you have to take time off to recover, and you are back to nothing.

However, having to take time off from tugging to heal is not a complete waste of time because you learn from the experience. We all want to progress as fast as we can, and to do that you have test your limits. Finding your limits almost always means incurring small injuries. It's just important to make sure that they are always SMALL injuries.

Your frenulum may be smarting, but from your description, I think it is unlikely that you have permanently injured yourself. In just hurts so much because the frenulum is such a bundle of nerves.

If you need pain relief to sleep, or to get through your work day, you might try benzocaine-containing gels, like last-longer sex gels, or Orajel baby teething and toothache medicine. If you happen to have clove oil, but not benzocaine gels in your medicine chest, you might try experimenting with the clove oil for pain relief. I happened to be in a Dollar Tree chain store here in Michigan this week, and they had tubes of benzocaine medicine for only $1 USD.

    Injured frenulum

I have been out of restoring for a year and decided to get back into it.
I used tlc-x and resumed my old tension (nothing excessive).
I somehow injured my frenulum very badly (my device does have the notch).
It has been hurting severely for some days and only slightly improving. In addition, the special sensation of the frenulum is gone.

It looks normal on the outside, no bleeding, cuts, or brusing.

Obviously I have stopped restoring for now and the only thing that helps is heat so far.
I am worried i tore something deep inside and that I have lost sensation in the frenulum.
Ive seen 2 other posts with similar injuries but no one had any follow up.
Any one had a similar issue and/or have some advice?
