  • Cleaning Methods?

    Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if some of you could help out. I need methods for cleaning my TLC-X. I keep having my skin slid down the TLCX and not staying in place. I have a brand new skin cone(about two weeks old). I doubt its lost its grip that fast unless I'm doing something wrong. Through out the day, when I use the bathroom. I clean my skin and the device with (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Curad-Alc...-of-6/44605636) alcohol prep pads. Also, I added a dab of (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Eucerin-O...-2-oz/15603542) on the tip to spot skin from sticking to TLCX. Could my TLCX have lost its grip? Or do I need a better cleaning method?
    Please help,

Try using a dab of dish soap and hot water every morning and the prep pads during the day. Make sure your fingers and the device is literally "squeaky clean". That will help it grip much better. Also, make sure you use a vary small dab of lotion on the pusher. You may be getting some on your skin during application. When I put on my device, I pull my foreskin forward first and insert the tugger into my foreskin and then pull the skin up evenly all the way around. This prevents contamination from the lotion.

I use cheap dish detergent (dish soap) to clean my TLC-X daily. I'm still on my original skin cones too. Could it be your skin itself getting more slippy?

        parsecskin ,

Do you apply the lotion to the TLCX or to your tip? I usually put a dab on the tip of my penis. I think that you might be right on using too much lotion. I remember you were the one that told me this idea for the lotion. When I didn't use lotion it hurt like hell when my skin would stick to the TLCX. What a lift saver!
The way I am applying now is I clean my device with alcohol pads and use the alcohol pad to clean my shafts skin. I do not clean the tip of my penis. I'm afraid that might burn. I will apply a dab and apply to the very top of the tip(near the urethra) and rub in. I will then stick TLCX on the tip of my penis and roll my foreskin on to the device. After my foreskin is in position; I will lower rolled up skin cone so the smallest part hits the skin and the unroll the skin cone to the rest of the foreskin. I have not been cleaning with dish soap only alcohol pads.

Is there a difference? Dish soap or dish detergent? I used to use cascade, but stopped because I thought alcohol pads were a miracle. They were for the first couple weeks I used them. Now if i have any pressure my skin slides down the TLCX.

        Thanks,

Try dish soap and hot water once in a while. Nothing better.

I use basic dawn dish soap and dry the skin cones thoroughly after cleaning. They stick to me like glue IF I keep my penis clean and dry. I've not experienced any apparent aging of any of the silicone components of the TLC-X.

I cleaned it with dish detergent earlier. I try dish soap tomorrow. I really appreciate the information gentlemen!

First of all the alcohol pad is too abrasive, don't use it.

Second, don't use the hand cream with the device that's what causes it to fall off.

I wash the device with basic hand soap and wash my penis/balls with ether just water or Vagisil. I know this seems odd but it's designed for women's sensitive tissue, and it works great for men too.

Oh I wouldn't use Vagisil. You might end up with a gender identity crisis! Lol. Alcohol pads are not too abrasive at all. They work great at removing body oils. Just don't use it on your dick. Especially on your mucousa! You'll not like it so much.

Can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but as long as the vagisil is non-scented you should still be atttracted to the vag. :P

If you get the scented stuff though... watch out! haha.

I understood he was using the alcohol pads on his dick... which is not the best call as you said. Elsewhere sure. Maybe I misunderstood.

gdom, you are correct that is what I said. Only on the shaft though. I don't feel any pain. I haven't had any issue with my device falling off with the eucerin on the pusher, but never enough for it to fall off of to overflow the pusher. I jog with it and no issues now that I have changed my cleaning habits. So you have no problem during that day without using alcohol pads? Are you washing it in the sink? I work in a office with no private sink. I might be SOL if that's how you clean throughout that day. I don't know how to explain that to my co workers watching me cleaning my tugger in the work sink.

                            Thanks,
