Thought it might help to mention any injuries sustained while tugging. What were the injuries, how did you get them, how long did it take to recover?... Personally I've only experienced some minor skin irritation from taping that went away within a day and some chafing on my shaft before I started tugging to the outside of my knee( thanks parsecskin). I've been extremely fortunate in this, but every once in awhile I'll feel an intense pull with too much tension if I'm moving around vigorously while I'm tugging; I catch it before it gets too intense though.

I have over done it with tension a couple of times. Mostly from using too much pusher pressure. I've had some minor ski tears and abrasions on my inner skin that have taken anywhere from 2 weeks to a month to heal up. Recently I have developed a lymphocele just below the corona. This has appeared twice in the last month and a half after sex. After a couple of days abstinence from sex and tugging it goes away. I don't think it's from tugging as it doesn't hurt at all. From what I have read on the subject it's not serious and should resolve itself on its own. Anyone else ever get something like this?

I have had some pesky linear stretch lines that luckily went away.

Well, as a matter of fact I sustained a minor injury yesterday. I've been using taped canisters again because my tugger wasn't comfortable enough and didn't stay on all the time. I'll wait for more slack. Anyways, I wear the canister for anywhere from 10-24 hours a day, even at night. I've had no real problems until yesterday, and this is still minor. When I removed the tape and canister after showering last night, there were two blisters running horizontal on the topside of my shaft. I didn't feel any rubbing or chaffing throughout the day either. At first I just thought my skin was swollen from tugging but after awhile I noticed there was a tiny amount of fluid just under the skin. Very very minor by the way, but this is my penis, so I take everything seriously. I don't know how I got them though. I took my son to the museum and was up and down stairs more than usual, but I didn't feel anything negative. The night before last, when I taped up, I did have some pretty frequent and intense erections. I've been taping at night since I started three 3 1/2 months ago though, so the pressure from erections is nothing new. I'm OK though... I'm about to tape up again. I put eucerin cream all over it and wrapped in Saran wrap for the night with no tugging. Yes Saran wrap... I've been using Saran wrap to protect my glans whenever I'm not tugging. And this morning I have super hydrated skin with two small discolored marks where the blisters were... Thanks guys... Best wishes

I haven't really noticed any injuries except for some redness and tenderness near the edge of the corona, but I think I get that from putting on the device just after the shower (I use the DTR). To combat this, I apply a very small amount of coconut oil in that area before I put the DTR on but only after I shower. I figure if it allows me to still use the device then it probably isn't bad to hydrate the skin in that area.

Whenever I retain at night, which I don't anymore. Its hit or miss, sometimes I'll wake up with my cone on, no pain. Others it'll come off while sleeping. And others I will wake up with pain and the skin will be red from strain, and I cannot tug during that day because I've got to let the skin recover, I mean I have tried to tug but it worstenes the redness and at one point I had to wait a week and a half to start tugging again because of this. So I just apply lotion to soothe my skin, and use a manhood to prevent chafing. Yeah I know manhood, I'm so fake. They certainly don't stop keratinization, but they stop my glans from
being rubbed painfully. I rekartinize a bit at night but each day while I am tugging I shed some keratin again. Which is neat I guess my penis is used to doing it, before it took months to start my first dekeratinization, but now when I retain for two days straight I start producing smegma heavily. Which is kind of nice. I'll have that coverage one day. My main reason for restoration at this point is being covered visually and not being constantly reminded I'm wearing a restoration device, or by the chafing my glans experiences with even the softest underwear.

It's highly unlikely that you are de-keratinizing during the day with your device on and re-keratinizing at night without it. De-keratinizing takes weeks if not months of sustained full coverage and you get a lot of slough accumulating until it's done. What you are experiencing is increased moisture content and drying which in itself does increase sensitivity when your mucosa isn't dry.

Over the years, the only "injuries" I've sustained tugging have been skin abrasions caused by tape or friction between the tugger/cone which is probably due to just wearing the tugger too long and/or taping too often. In fact, I'm healing up from some skin abrasions now.

The cure? Just stop taping or tugging until the skin heals, which usually occurs w/in a week or less.

This is to be distinguished from some injuries that I sustained from pumping due to the use of too much pressure for too long. Those injuries were never permanent but were kinda scary. Needless to say, I don't use excessive pressure pumping (which I don't do too often) anymore.

Skin tears, numbness from DTR inside body, bad prostate infections. All of these things slowed me down a lot. All were caused by getting over-zealous or from wearing a device I wasn't ready for.

How in the hell did you get a prostate infection from restoring? If you wipe down your device often with isopropyl alcohol, that is not a problem.

The device was always pushing inside the body cavity and irritated the prostate, perhaps bacteria got in? It was too early for me to be wearing that type of device.

I can see that. You definitely need ample skin to use a DTR. I just got one and I don't have quite enough skin to use it properly. I can get it on, but it ain't right. When I do have enough skin, at least I'll already have it.

The only type of injury I've sustained wasn't truly an injury, but overzealous tugging (outer skin) that led to an HSV outbreak - which brings restoration to a halt for 2-3 weeks while the skin heals. Not awesome. But it's only happened a couple of times.

2010: got some permanent marks on my glans from removing tape that got stuck.

2015: got permanent injury and pain from manual, zealous over tugging. Actually heard the skin pop three times.

2018: got a temporary injury behind the glans on part facing me from DTR push plate

2019: got a skin tear /scar on the right side next to my frenulum.

Tugging is not a bowl of cherries.
