I have a generalized guide for How to Tug: http://tlctugger.com/how-to-tug/
I recommend straps or weights when possible for reasons discussed here: http://tlctugger.com/tlc-tugger-or-tlc-x/

Thanks for the reply. I've been using mainly internal. Going to do external for a while using the rubber band method.

Best way to tug?
Hello all!
I am wondering if any of you have any great advice regarding tugging. I've been tugging for 5 months now, and I use the TLC-X. I've been using it pretty standardly with the smaller rod, and I've been pushing the rod in more and more. At this point, I can usually push the short rod in entirely, and it's not as much tension as it once was (I'm used to it now).
Last week, I decided to switch to the longer rod and try the rubber band method. So far it's working out quite well. It's a bit awkward, but I'm noticing that I'm getting good tugging sessions in.
Do you all think that this is a good progression of events here? I think that I partially don't know what is next to come. What do you do after say the rubber band method just doesn't do it anymore? Do you just add more tension with rubber bands? When do you need spacers? Does it still make sense to use the traditional short rode push-in method?
Also, I think sometimes it's easy to forget what a good tugging session is. I wonder if it's important to always use a bit more tension than you think you need. I sometimes feel like if I can't feel the tugging (I often forget all about it), then I think that maybe I can tug a little harder as long as there is no pain.
Thanks everyone!Tags: None
