  • Can circumcision cause the penis to bend?

I have a couple of questions. First of all, I was circumcised last year in November for health reasons. Basically a tight foreskin (phimosis) I tried using a cream from the doctors but that didn't work. I tried stretching the skin but that just made it sore. After about 2 or 3 years of an uncomfortably tight foreskin I got desperate and decided to have the snip. If only I had known about this site before I could have bought a phimosis device and that might have fixed it instead of chopping it off Anyway now that I'm circumcised I've noticed that my penis has a bend in it and curves to the left a bit. When I was intact my penis was always straight. I've asked 2 different doctors about this and they both say that it was probably the same shape before but it may have been less obvious before because I had more folds of skin covering it when I was intact and that its nothing to worry about. I'm just self conscious about having a slightly bent penis seeing as it was always straight when I was intact. Can any of you guys relate to this? Do you think being circumcised can cause your penis to bend? Also I decided to ask my GP if its possible to regrow your foreskin, he looked at me a bit strangely and said "no once its gone its gone. It cant come back" I think he just said that though because he's probably never heard of foreskin restoration and doesn't know what I'm talking about. Its just frustrating because I feel like I cant really talk to my doctors about restoring my foreskin because its embarrassing to bring up and they probably wont know anything about it or just say it cant be done. How about you guys though? Do you feel that you can talk to your doctors about foreskin restoration? Are they helpful if you do?

    1. The doctors you talked to about the bend could be right; a slightly curved penis is a normal variation in shape. Plenty of guys have this. Or, if you were cut more tightly on one side, then it's possible this had some effect on a curve by making it more noticeable. Who knows. What is true is that if you expand your shaft skin, this may help with any artificial curve.

    2. You cannot regrow your foreskin. Nobody here did, nobody has anywhere. What we do is grow additional shaft skin, and maybe a little mucosa. When we have enough skin to do it (it takes a number of years), we take that loose shaft skin and double it over and pull it down to cover the glans. This doesn't make it the foreskin you once had, but it does help a return of some function of the mucosa (on the shaft, in the sulcus, and on the glans), and it will look very much like a foreskin because it will narrow down at the end, on its own. This is the best we can do, and it turns out to be pretty good for a number of reasons. So that one doctor was right: you can't regrow what you had. But you can get back some of the look and function.

    2. A few guys have found interested doctors when they discussed tugging (skin expansion), but probably the general rule is that most doctors haven't heard of it, or wouldn't be interested if they have. But why would you need to talk to a doctor about it? Just begin, and be your own basic support, and of course ask questions about the process here.

I actually just saw my doctor but I didn't inform him about it. I agree with you that it can be a very embarrassing topic. I think if you're really concerned about it, you may want to bring it up, but if you're restoring and you have the results you want, then you should be fine.

Whether natural or human-induced, it's possible to counter a bend while you tug. See: http://tlctugger.com/product/peyroni...ide-curvature/

Thanks guys for all your advice and info. Reading your posts has really helped me understand and I'm not worried anymore about my penis looking bent lol now I feel like I can put my mind at rest. I guess I'm sort of still getting over the trauma of recently being circumcized and because its abit of an embarrasing topic to bring up like I said so there are few people that I can talk to about it. Just being able to talk to people on here and ask questions is kind of like therapy to me. 😀

You should have tried stretching exercises.
