  • Inner vs Outer skin ?

    Hi guys,

    Can someone please explain the difference and how I can target both. I am currently around a CI-3, however finding that my shat skin on the underside of my penis - close to my balls needs some stretching/growth, I think this is why I am not able to get rollover. I've just started to tug with my DTR whilst wearing a ball stretcher to increase the tension of the skin, think I may have a case of turkey neck. Has anyone else had this issue and if so how did your overcome it ?

    Thanks

    I like answering the questions that haven't been addressed yet, so for the 2 or 3 guys in the future who go back to read old posts (and maybe link to them) I'll give you the $5 tour:

    1. Outer skin: this is also known as shaft skin, and for reasons you'll see, it's better to call it that. It is a series of layers, from the outside (which you see with your naked eye) to its bottom most layer, so generally speaking it's made of regular skin just like you have on your body (which is a number of layers, with the only ongoing living skin at the bottom, called the stratum basale, which is the layer that responds to tension), and then a more-or-less layer of a type of muscle called smooth muscle (involuntary muscle), known as the dartos tunica, or dartos sheath, and then under that is connective tissue, in which all the little blood vessels, and nerves, and some hair folicles are all located. All this makes up "outer skin". This skin is continuous with your scrotum, and the 'outside' of your original foreskin was made of these layers;

    2. Inner skin: this is called 'mucosa', and is much thinner because it doesn't have all those shaft skin layers. In other words this thin tissue has a smaller number of cells making it up, from outside to inside. In fact it's so thin that it lets extracellular fluid travel across it, usually coming from under this thin layer, to the outside, which is what is being referred to by guys as "wet". This tissue is located from your scar, forwards towards your glans, and it has the nerves under it that are thought to be the highly sensitive nerves associated with pleasure. If you are circ'd this tissue is located on part of the shaft (if it wasn't all taken completely), and in the sulcus, over the corona and the glans itself, and it usually dries out due to exposure and abrasion (the glans, however, doesn't have those pleasure nerves under its mucosa) so they can look somewhat similar, but commonly there is a color difference between shaft skin and the old mucosa, with the latter being lighter in color.

    The other issues you mention aren't any big deal, but addressing how to target these two general types of tissue (and you won't like the answer): the best way is the way you can personally find, and live with. There isn't just one way for any part of restoration. You can always supplement your main method with manual. It will work.

      Maybe a penis extender could help. I have been using one and it can make the shaft skin *really* tight and would probably hold back your sac... maybe I've never had turkey neck. On eBay cheap extenders are about $13 and say they are made of stainless *but* they are definitely nickel plate and some folks like myself have nickel contact allergy.

        I simply tugged at my scar line. Worked well for me.

        Another way to target is to use manual or tape positioned to focus on the area you wish to. And some men report some evening out, so you may find all you need to is tug. Fortunately, you will have plenty of time to make corrections along the way, smile.

        Regards
