  • Hair near the scar line

Hey everyone, I have hair nearly up to the scar line on the left side and under side of my shaft. Down the road when i attain flaccid coverage, will the hair follicles that are on the shaft, once they are folded over by the extra skin, cause problems for me once they are covered nearly all the time? I dont want to get an infection.

    Thanks.

I heard that hair follicles don't multiply so you wont be getting more of them on your restored skin.

Also I think that a well managed pubic hair are good so you may want to avoid plucking them. Read here for more info (https://www.theguardian.com/commenti...b-stop-shaving)

There was a related discussion in this thread:
      The dreaded hairy shaft

Skin expansion via mitosis doesn't increase the number of hair follicles. As a result, as you restore, your skin will grow and the follicles will end up more spread out (less hair density per surface unit).

I would recommend you to simply pluck those hairs out, from the base to the circ scar. In order to reduce the chance of issues, do it after a shower and apply some aloe-vera cream afterward. Avoid touching the area with your fingers for a couple of hours. Repeat once every couple of months and with time your hairs will grow weaker, thinner, less noticeable and will be less painful to remove.

Of course there are other hair removal methods like laser, waxing, creams... but I think they would be an overkill for such a small and delicate area. Plucking is what works best for me. I've had no remarkable issues so far (infections, etc.), with the proper cleanliness.

There was a guide about hair grooming on this forum, which involved just trimming your public hair and plucking out the hairs on your shaft. I can't find it using the search box, perhaps it was on the old forum. Anyway Google led me to this video by this forum administrator:

One option is to remove the hair, another is to leave it and see how it goes. You can always have it removed later. A third option is to tug so that the scar line is at the leading edge, thus no hair follicles will be inside. My scar has become almost impossible to see as I have restored.
