  • Circumcision Incision Re-Opening While Restoring My Foreskin

My circumcision incision is re-opening / tearing. I wonder if anyone has suggestions.

I have sought medical advice from my family doctor. But with this recurring I am wondering if anyone else has experience?

What has caused it tonight is rubbing my finger gently over the incision to clean under my foreskin. I am at 'CI 8'. This needs cleaning once a day. The depth is like a small paper cut.

The area that opened is less than last time. My family doctor told me to apply Vaseline to force it to heal from the inside out and eliminate scar tissue. This is working. Is there is any cream / oil any of you have to suggest?

I am expecting I need to take a break from tugging for two or three weeks for this to heal and not be put under stress.

    Thoughts? Comments?

Tugging can be addictive. At a CI 8 , I would say you are DONE! Congratulations. Now it's time to stop before you do damage.

I've made a conscious decision I would like more erect coverage.

I don't care about the size of my penis.

I've haven't tugged consistency. I've done it in stages so I had time to think about if I want to continue.

That's good to do it in stages. Lengthy breaks are actually good for your skin giving it time to recuperate and go back to normal. Full erect coverage, however, is not needed. The majority of intact guys are fully retracted when erect. I was like this before I got cut. As long as you have full coverage when soft or slightly larger, that's good. You don't want to get that long foreskin caught in your zipper! Trust me, it hurts like hell.

There is more to it than this. It is personal and why I am continuing on past 'CI 8'. I know you mean well. But please trust me.

I am now in chronic pain. Masturbation is the only true relief I get from the pain. The bodies natural release of endorphins to stop pain does better than any prescription pain medication. I don't do this for lust. Just for the mental break of being harassed by ongoing pain.

If the skin is cracking maybe try using a moisturizer/occlusive lightly every time you step out of the shower.

Triple Antibiotic Ointment is essentially vaseline but with healing additives that will speed your healing. Long ago it was called Neosporin but the neosporin owners changed the recipe and caused Triple Antibiotic Ointment to be created as a replacement for people who wanted the "good stuff" as they refused to go back to the old recipe. TAO has worked great for me!

Did you continued tugging after your circumcision "incision" opened, and are you tugging even now, though it remains open?

I am waiting for it to close up before continuing to tug more. I am thinking 3 weeks.

To be candid I have to reconsider how I masturbate. I don't want to pressure the incision, the same as I wouldn't pressure an incision elsewhere on my body.

I enjoy massaging the glans of my penis through my foreskin. I need to figure out a different way to masturbate while this heals. Part of why I want the additional foreskin is for this purpose.

This is coming from a place of being in chronic pain and that I only get truly out of pain from masturbation / orgasm. It is far more effective than prescription pain medication. The glans on my penis are very sensitive now that they are contained by full coverage [plus some overhand] when flaccid.

Typically the foreskin stimulates the glans and an intact man could choose to only need to stimulate the shaft. I really don't know how else I am going to masturbate. But that incision needs to heal.

You might consider getting and trying a Cobra Libre ... a device that fits primarily over the glans, and which doesn't require movement to achieve orgasm. Google Cobra Libre to find several links that show men using the device. An older friend uses his quite often, and he swears by it.

Is there a 'generic' (knock off) version?

I have found vibrators can be a good way to masturbate, and do not require any movement. I find they seem to move the foreskin in very nice ways. The ones that seem to work best are the wand type that have multiple speeds, for example:

And, some attachments can provide very nice stimulation if you have a foreskin too, such as:

                            Regards

Something like what you describe happened to me.

When I began restoring, I had a bread crust of a circ scar about 1/4 inch thick (6 mm thick). Once I had achieved full flaccid coverage and had dekeratinized, the bread crust of a scar began to resorb. This was an amazing biological process! The scar resorbed a small section at a time, first on the dorsal (top) side, and then around on both sides to the ventral (under) side. The section that was about to resorb often turned bright red right before the resorption.

What I was left with after the bread crust had completely resorbed (It took more than a year.) was a circ line. What I mean by a circ line was a sharp indentation where the inner and outer skin abutted each other, but had not grown together. The line was a if you had scored a slab of wet modeling clay using a single-edged razor blade.

I was very pleased to trade my bread crust of a scar for a thin barely noticeable thin circ line. I came to realize that not every circ’d guy has a crusty scar like I did though. One 35-year-old manI met at the San Diego NORM meetings began restoring with no crusty scar at all, but only a circ line. His inner and outer skin had not grown together, but remained separated by the circ line for his entire 35 years. I therefore thought that a circ line was the best that a circ’d man could hope for. But I was accidentally to discover how to get the the inner skin and outer skin to grow together, eliminating the circ line.

Because I was an aggressive restorer (using the T-tape method and high tensions), I once accidentally pulled my circumcision line apart on the dorsal side. It just sort of separated. It looked like a paper cut, only deeper. I was horrified.

What I had just discovered was that the bread crust had performed a function. It helped hold the the abutting inner skin and outer skin together.

I initially thought the separation at the circ line was a deep flesh wound. However, when I examined the area with a high-beam flashlight. (Bathroom ceiling lights are definitely not bright enough for a good examination. You need a light source bright enough so you can almost see through layers of skin.) With the bright light, I could see it was not a flesh wound because there was continuous weeping young skin underneath. It was something like when you skinned your knee badly as a kid, and there was weeping young skin underneath.

Because I was an obsessive-compulsive restorer, I didn’t do the prudent thing and give everything a rest to heal. I, instead, just pushed the inner and outer skin together at the separation, and positioned a piece of tape over it to hold things together while I resumed tugging once more. Once healed, the inner skin and outer skin had grown securely together with a thin line of scar tissue between them. Thus, I did not have a mucocutaneous junction like an intact man, but the addition of a thin line of scar tissue made it unlikely that the the inner and outer skin would pull apart again in the future. I recognized this to be a net benefit, and I went on to PURPOSELY try to pull apart the inner and outer skin manually at the circ line. I did this piecemeal, until after many months, I had done so all the way around my penis. I found that I did not have to physically pull the circ line apart, but only stress the area with repeated manual pulling. This worked optimally. The trick was to induce damage at a cellular and molecular level without doing frank damage. Of course, this means guesswork at how hard you should pull. But this was a clear demonstration that repeated cycles of cellular and molecular damage followed by healing (per the bodybuilding analogy) can work regenerative wonders.

                              My epilogue:
I completed my restoration 11 years ago, and I just examined myself closely for the first time in a long time. Some sections of my thin scar line have resorbed. I have a mucocutaneous junction where inner and outer skin abut, but I don’t know exactly how it compares with the mucocutaneous junction that an intact man has. Some sections still have a thin line of scar tissue evident, but that scar tissue is much more pliable than it was just a few years ago.

In years past, parts of the thin scar line had lost its pigmentation - turned whitish. I had a small case of vitiligo here and there. Another restorer reported he had the same. However, I can’t find find any vitiligo spots now. It’s actually challenging to find imperfections. They are all hidden within the folds of skin.

Once you have everything in the right position, the everyday biological process of tissue turnover slowly remodels things on a fine-definition level to the way they should have been all along. The body has no choice but to follow its DNA program. Your restoration gets better while you are doing nothing!

Like I’ve said before, I think we would be fully justified in not calling this just foreskin restoration, but foreskin regeneration!

I declared myself finished restoring with 3/4 erect coverage (CI-8.5) in 2005. I primarily used T-tape, strapping up and around my waist.
I've participated in NORM meetings in San Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle (RECAP), and Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Every doubt, reservation, or concern I had about my restoration was resolved by achieving additional foreskin LENGTH.....So just KOT !
