HBO's docuseries "Winning Time" hit the nail on the head (literally) when addressing Spencer Haywood's infamous self-circumcision ... 'cause the Hall of Famer tells TMZ Sports everything is 100% true!!

"We did it to the hogs so why not do it to the humans? It's country!! It's country-folk!!"
He clearly got confused watching hogs get castrated. Nobody ever routinely circumcised hogs.
