  • Ron's Phimosis Device

I've finished my checking of the old board threads available on the Way Back Machine, and one that I found of much interest, and that needs an update, is from 2009, and is titled, "Name That New Phimosis Device."

    https://web.archive.org/web/20100615...ead.php?t=3517

So, Ron, what name did you, or the board members finally decide on for the device?

How have sales of the device gone?

And, how many foreskins have been saved by the device?

    Name that new phimosis device

As we look forward to a day when no infant is subjected to genital mutilation, TLC Tugger is preparing to help adults resolve phimosis. I have designed a new comfortable, affordable, wearable gentle stretching system to expand the preputial sphincter so an intact phimotic man can in time comfortably retract if he wishes. It will be available in the next month or two.

I thought somebody might enjoy the challange of coming up with a catchy name for this TLC phimosis resolution system. It should sound like it belongs to our brand and line. Today we have Your-Skin Cone, TLC Tugger, TLC Packer, TLC Stackers, TLC Canister, TLC Hangers, and TLC-X Pusher.

"TLC Reamer" is already in the reject bin.

Feel free to send ideas to me in private or email me to find out how I will make it worth your time if we use yours.

    Cheers,
    -Ron Low

I don't think this device was ever sold.

Not sold, right. But the first users did participate a bit with some of the costs. We helped I think 9 guys with the Reamer prototypes. Each patient used 2 to 4 gradually larger-sized silicone-padded spring devices to get the preputial opening wider. The springiness could be tweeked manually by the user, and the device was worn sometimes to bed, sometimes all day.

They worked well, but in the end I decided that PhimoCure looked like a better approach. See https://tlctugger.com/product/phimoc...pansion-rings/

Ron, glad to know that the Reamer prototypes did help those 9 guys. I'm not familiar with PhimoCure, so I'll click on the link you gave above and check it out.

I just checked out the link. Have many intact men found PhimoCure successful in curing their phimosis?

I have no details. I've contacted PhimoCure a couple times (like just to tell them I was sending people to their site, did they want to supply a better graphic) and I've never gotten a reply. I have had their link on my web site for a year and a half and nobody has ever told me they got ripped off or anything. Silence. I guess I'd have to buy the product to prove they exist.

UPDATE: I DID hear from Andrew at PhimoCure one time in March of 2015:

Thank you for your email. We really appreciate your link to our site. We are currently making changes to our site and intend to also add more information related to wrongly diagnosed phimosis in childhood as we have previously had queries related to this.
I will ensure that we apply a link to your site also.
            Kind regards
            Andrew
