  • 2023-04-04 Intact America - Foreskin Day

The organization Intact America has dedicated the date of April 4th (that's fore-fore on the calendar) to their new pro-intact holiday called Foreskin Day.

To celebrate, they put together a video that was streamed live via their social media feeds, and is now available to view on Twitter and Facebook. It's about 45 minutes long (the video gets replayed after that). Earlier in the day, Intact America summarized their video in an email to their followers, as containing:
    • Amazing street interviews.
    • Candid conversations with podcast stars.
    • An audacious foreskin word game.
    • The premiere of the first-ever foreskin awareness animation.
    • A foreskin art collection.
    • Powerful foreskin chants and songs.
    • ...and MUCH MUCH MORE!
Video links are below. The Facebook post has all sorts of positive comments.

EDIT: the links to the original presentation are no longer working, so I've removed them. Hopefully they'll repost it somewhere soon. Instead, here's a YouTube video of Georgeanne Chapin talking about Foreskin Day, as well as an animated feature that was in the video shown on Foreskin Day. The second one even mentions foreskin restoration:

I’ll have to check it out! Thanks for posting! I’m sure it will not be a subject that’s covered by the news! Lol

Maybe it's not news, but in my view, it's progress that they were able to go out in a public park and ask people to talk about foreskins.

I can't seem to find the videos online today, so I had to edit my original post. At least they still have some of content about it on YouTube.

That's probably for the best. Almost nobody does a live show anymore without rambling and being disjointed or boring. Bill Maher and Howard Stern can pull it off. But for the rest of us, editing is our friend to make this message palatable.

When it was still up on Tuesday night, I skimmed through it, but watched most of the introduction by Robin “Dragonfly” Wilson - who's far from boring or disjointed, if you look up any of her material. The rest was pre-recorded segments that were fairly well edited together.

I replied to one of their emails, asking if they'd repost it. I wouldn't be surprised if other viewers might want to share it as well.

                  Intact America will have it on again the night of May 7th (Worldwide Day of Genital Autonomy): {link would go here, if they had included one in their announcement}

Not sure of the strategic value of making it hard to find and hard to share.

They've reposted it on YouTube, prefaced with some content about the Worldwide Day of Genital Autonomy. I started another topic for it, but will post it here, just to bump up the thread:

It looks like the host, Dragonfly, had to re-record the content that had been live-streamed on 4/4, so those parts look a bit different than the original presentation, for those of you who saw it.
