Thesis about human rights and MGM

Hellow,

I'm a Belgian Law student and i'm in my second last (4th year) of law school.
This means I have to start with my thesis, and my subject is 'The human rights aspect of male circumcison".

My promoter is acctualy very happy I took this subject,because she's bored of the subject of female circumcision. She (Eva Brems) used to be in politics and is a professor of human rights in my university (University of Ghent - Belgium).

But the reason of this post is that I need cases concerning MGM.
Here in Europe there aren't a lot of cases, so i'm in need of cases from the U.S and other countries.

So if anyone has internet links of cases, I realy need them

Cases of FGM are also welcome since i'll have to do an analogy due the lack of cases on MGM.

Also scientific reviews/articles about benefits/risks of MGM and or FMG are welcome since I have to compare the beneftis and the risks, whether they are false or true
( for example the discussion of HIV some say it prevents, some say there is no difference).

So all cases, scientific articles are welcome!.

A nerve cluster that makes the clitoris so sensitive is (essentially) part of what is removed by circumcision its called the frenar delta in men. Circumcision also leaves the remaining tissue exposed to dry up and thicken (keratinize) so the remaining nerves are less sensitive to touch. As far as I know circumcision has zero benefit when it comes to preventing HIV infections. There are some big numbers tossed around sometimes like how it dropped the HIV infection rate by 60% but they dont tell that the number is based off a very small percentage of male patients who visit the hospitals in foreign countries with VERY high infection rates or that the 60% number is 100% non scientific in how they made that determination. Having a doctor or whoever say a thing doesn't make it science! Short story even shorter the men being circumcised under the assumption that it will prevent HIV infections are MGMd but still have to abstain or wear condoms to be protected because the circumcision isn't going to prevent HIV.

Just did a quick search about Uganda and the infection rate since they started circumcising is going up not down. That is a place where they are circumcising men and the rate of infection is going up... I have to wonder if the difficulty with masturbation is not at least in part responsible. IE they are having more sex with other people when sometimes they would have just done them selves (if they still had a prepuce or foreskin). That alleged 60% number also only accounts for circumcised men nobody else!

I was infant circumcised in the USA and believe it should have been my choice to decide as an adult if I wanted the prepuce removed for a little bit of alleged STD protection or for whatever other reason. Circumcision should NEVER be an option for non-adults even for alleged medical reasons as most perceived problems are fixable without amputation.

I really don't understand how some people are having a hard time seeing that circumcision of non consenting and or ill informed adults *and* non-adults is MGM!
