Video of Intaction Mobile Education Unit at ACOG 2016 Washington DC (meeting of obstetricians)

The Intaction Mobile Unit was present in front of the convention center where the obstetricians were holding their annual meeting. We thought they might like some music to start off their day. (Yes it was as loud as the video portrays.) Our vehicle was positioned directly in the path between the hotels and the convention center.

Awesome! Were you worried that there might be a local noise ordinance?

well if I see a police car I would lower the volume out of respect and to avoid problems. But I got no complaints in any event -even as I drove in-between the Convention center buildings which made it even louder in there. I put the sound system as loud as it would go. On Sunday morning as the doctors were crossing the street in droves I cranked the volume, no police were around. In the morning hours I would blast Rape Me by Nirvana and Born in the USA by Springsteen, I really want to wake them up. As the day wore on the music selection mellowed to include various tracks like some reggae songs about "Save the Children". The only interest the police had was learning more about genital integrity. One female police officer was shocked by our Infant Genital Cutting Exhibit and we had a 10 minute discussion.

I realize most of our interactions with law enforcement are very positive and sympathetic, but if there's an ordinance and someone complains, they have to do their jobs.
