  • Manual tugging

I barely have any shaft skin on one side of my penis, literally only 1.4cm between my scar line and scrotal skin at the highest point. The other side isnt as severe, but i only have roughly one inch from the scar line to scrotal skin.

Im very frustrated. I seem to only have grown a few millimetres of new skin in the few months I've been restoring (and before anyone jumps in me for this, I'm just not entirely sure what a reasonable amount of growth is per month) , and although i dont have an exact measurement, i'm going to wager that the rate of new skin growth -- including inner and outer -- has been less than 1mm/month. Divided evenly, that's only a fraction of a mm of outer skin per one month.

If my shaft to my scar measures roughly 7 cm, and at the most extreme point 5.6mm of that skin is scrotal skin, then at my current rate of growth I'll generate roughly between 4.5 to 6 mm of outer skin per year, assuming i maintain my same routine and the rate of growth remains constant. It will take me roughly 6 years just to generate enough skin to relocate my scrotal skin to its appropriate area if i am able to grow both types evenly. Is this far off? Am i out to lunch and are these numbers too optimistic? Pessimistic?

Ok, so back to the title, would manual tugging be a much better way to encourage my remaining outer skin to grow? I know the obvious; i can directly apply tension to the area in a way that a device can't, but i'm just skeptical that tugging that area for 2 minutes every hour or for 20-minute sessions 3× per day is enough to induce skin growth. I'm still new to this, so please bear with me.

Currently I use the DTR nearly every day, never exceeding 12 hours of tugging time. During the week while at work, i try to get at least five hours of tugging with the device. Ive seen improvements, but I'm just starting to think that maybe this routine isnt the most effective and i should focus more of my efforts on manual, using the DTR to supplement my non-manual hours instead of vice versa.

Manual would be the way to go. You can target the short side until you have evened things out. Manual is very effective, it's just inconvenient. The good 5Bing about manual is that it lends itself to cyclic tension which allows ample blood flow to the tissues. Good blood flow is THE key. Recently I changed my routine to incorporate a LOT of manual in addition to my device which I now only wear for 1/2 hour at a time and do a round of manual after another 1/2 hour of rest and then go back to my device. Guess what? MY GROWTH IS OFF THE CHARTS! I only do about 5 minutes of manual at a time at fairly high tension and it seems to have made ALL the difference. I too have an uneven area, though not as bad as yours, and I target that area as well. It works, keep at it l. It shouldn't take you 6 yrs to even it out.

Thanks parsec! I'll give it a try for a bit and see how it goes!

Like Parsecskin said, manual methods are incredibly effective. I restored without using any devices. By tugging frequently for very short sessions, you get a nice cycle going without depriving your foreskin of blood flow. Devices tend to limit blood flow while being worn, slowing down the restoration process. And since your circumcision is uneven, by manually customizing your tugging routines to spend extra tugging time to the shorter side of your foreskin, over time the foreskin length will even out.

I have used only the manual tugging method. I was circumcised loose with skin bunched around the base of the head. Guessing I was about a C2/C3 when I started. It has taken 4-5 years now of tugging and I am now about a C8 with enough foreskin to cover 95% of the head when I am soft. When hard I have enough foreskin to cover about 60/65% of the head. I generally tug about every other day or so. I keep the foreskin over the head of my penis all day now. When I pull the skin off the head, many times the foreskin will slip down over the head by itself.

            What device do you use?

I actually have 3 devices. Standard TLC, TLC-X, and a DTR. I switch it up because each device grips the skin slightly differently. If you were to get one device, I would recommend the TLC-X. It's the most versatile and you can use it with less skin. The DTR requires more skin for it to fit properly, about a CI-4 or more. The most important thing is consistency. Stay with it and you'll get there.
