  • VLC devices or Jelqing capable of causing glans damage?

TLC Tugger has received the following anonymous letter describing a change in the glans after using the VLC Tugger:
    = = = = =

    Hi there,

I thought I should make you aware of the danger of using the VLC tugger. I used my VLC tugger for a month for 6 hours a day at very low tension, taking breaks. I experienced some good effects, but it also stretched my glans such that I can no longer get hard (hard glans). This means I have permanent damage in my penis that will effect me for the rest of my life (I'm 23). I cannot get hard glans anymore.

I am really quite defeated by this and I feel very depressed. I might kill myself at some point.

I thought I should let you know so that you might consider taking action. It is something that is truely devastating to have soft glans for life.

I realise that this whole thing is just the blind leading the blind, but it would be sad to go on without thinking. If you attach something to the glans and pull on it, you are going to stretch the glans, and this pulls the whole penis out of shape and now it does not allow the penis to make the glans hard.

You can tell people that jelqing is fine and works well, as well as other penis enlargement methods, but what does one expect when they pull on the soft end of the penis and expect the whole thing to stretch? You can't ignore physics.

I'm not going to sue or anything like that (I don't live in the US), but my gratitude goes out to others that may fall into the same trap, that's all.

    Regards.

Thousands of men use ventless devices. This is the first report of tensile glans damage that I am aware of.

    UPDATE:

This user was doing more than tugging with the VLC during the time when the injury was sustained:
    = = = = =
I was doing 10-20 min of Jelqing and 5-10 min of stretching almost every day, so the VLC tugger was the perfect compliment. I had some reservations about how it would deform my glans, so I used it at a very low tension. I wore it for approximately 6 hours every day, taking breaks to restore blood flow. I kept this up for a month.

My dick is now ruined for life. My glans are now hanging on the end of my penis, rather than sitting back firmly on the shaft. My glans not does not get hard. It will inflate, and I will touch it and be shocked by the fact that it is twice as soft as the softest sponge cake on earth. It is a complete nightmare.
    . . . .
It isn't quite detached, but it's deformed and enlarged pulling it away from the shaft. I can twist my penis by the glans 360 without any issue. My penis, when flacid, bends most easily at the base of the glans, like a hinge. I almost want to just cut my glans off it's like having a growth on the end of my penis.
    . . . .
I will probably be seeing a doctor in the future, but really they're not going to be able to do anything anyway. My glans is not injured at all. My glans has been deformed (normal tissue deformation) by slowly being pulled away from the shaft.

We at TLC Tugger DO NOT recommend jelqing or anything resembling jelqing.

I hope he gets well quick.

I don't know much about VLC tugger cause I mostly deal with pressure down the glans instead the glans being pulled up. Btw have you encountered any cases on damage pushing on the glans?

I always had assumed "As long there's no pain or pricking sensation there will be no damaged done". I can only speculate him tugging at night, so he may be not well aware of damaging his glans....

I've never used a ventless design tugger, but the Tug Ahoy was a ventless design as well, and those were sold starting around 2001-2002? Lacking an actual medical diagnosis and report, I am inclined to treat such reports with a bit of skepticism as much as they rely on self-diagnosis. The casual suicide threat is very troubling. I hope you replied to him urging him to seek medical help and share any further reports or diagnosis he gets with you.

Where do tuggers attach? Is there a tugger out there which attaches directly to the glans? Does the VLC attach directly to the glans? Is it suggested that you do this? Will a glans with no blood flow supplying it just sit there "soft" for life, with the rest of the penis erected? Or will any tissue, anywhere on (or in) the body start to rot and fall off if blood doesn't supply it. The OP has to answer these questions, and so does anyone here before giving him the credit of a reply. Could it be he injured himself in another way?

At the 2019 Urology (AUA) conference, a new technique for repairing hypermobile glans was presented. I attach a slide from the presentation.
