I find it frankly disgusting and having a discussion with someone who presents themselves with their dick feels wrong. I just wanted to say this because I'm sure I'm not the only one if you count passers by and non-members who the forum probably wants to convert into contributing members.

Which is why I don't do it.
But I also don't really have a problem with people expressing themselves that way on this forum because it is after all about dicks.
Seeing dicks doesn't offend me, we all have them, and see them in changing and rest rooms. Seeing them doesn't do anything for me, if you know what I mean.
Maybe not a forum to be reading where other people might be able to see your screen. -
It would be kinda strange to have a "no dick pics as your avatar" rule while also having a progress gallery where actively restoring members are encouraged to post pictures of that exact same body part. One could make the argument that those pics should be restricted to only the progress gallery section, but I would counter that (very much like Phoenix said) this entire forum is, in a manner of speaking, about pretty much nothing but penises.
It's kind of like you're hanging out in the middle of a rock concert, complaining that everything is really loud.
If the pictures were pornographic in nature, I'd be more inclined to agree with you.Comment

It shows a lack of creativity, perhaps a certain level of superficiality or tackiness so to speak...
But like the others said, I think it's nice to see an avatar over an empty box even if it is a D pic.

I really do not mind one way or the other. However, I have seen pics of intact penises used as a personal avatar – presuming the contributor has been circumcised, I feel this is a bit of a cheat.
I realise that by posting, you will get to see my avatar, dick and all :-)Comment

It may be a best practice to not show avatars to non-member visitors to this forum, or at the very least the more provocative ones. Anybody that happens across this forum can read posts and see the avatars without logging in.
What if that person is a small child? What if that child is a young girl? And then what if her parents become alarmed and come after this forum with some kind of legal action?I make my own devices.Comment

On a phone you can atleast zoom to fit the message section to fill the screen, so it's not too weird if someone glances at your screen.
Until you scroll across a billboard size dickpic...Saying someone is "Unmutilated" is like saying "Unsweet Tea". So you mean it's just Tea, in its natural state, that nobody has screwed up? It can't be Un- anythingComment
