  • Gauze and string for taping

    Hi guys

Been playing around with an idea - seeing as gauze is designed to stay in place, but not stick to skin, I have tried adapting a taping method with gauze. What I did was pulled the skin as far forward as possible (I can stretch it to what would be CI4), I then tightly wrap it in gauze and use string to hold it in place.

Anyone tried this, is this a bad idea for any reason?

I tried this for 20 minutes and when I took it off, it had held the skin in place.

I'm thinking I can attach this and leave it for, say, 4 hours at a time, then leave it for 4 hours to recover.

Thoughts, advice, considerations to people saying Ni and shrubberies?

I wouldn't use string on my penis because it would cut circulation off if I were to get erect. Also gauze can trap moisture so you might have to change it out often especially if you are doing any physical activity (don't want any fungus or bacteria being trapped down there)

I'd say do what works for you man but I'd probably go find a different shrubbery (I like my tlcx even though it can be a pain in the ass most of the time lol)

Fair points. I don't make the string tight, just tight enough to stop the gauze from unwrapping. I have been keeping it on for up to 30 minutes at a time.

      What is a tlcx?

I don't live in Europe or America, so I don't think there are any local producers - and getting a device through customs could be difficult (and expensive). I am more interested in home made devices for this reason.

tlctugger.com - It's a restoration device sold in america that I use for restoration. Mine's set up in a dual tension mode where there's a cone that pulls the foreskin outward while a pusher inside pushes the glans inward, causing tension. That's kind of a basic description. I don't blame you for making your own solutions though, these devices can be expensive and you're right customs would be a bitch, if the way you are restoring works for you then keep on doing it and you can easily find other diy tuggers and restoration devices just by searching for them if you want to change it up.

From a context point of view, before bank fees, customs and postage, that TLC-X Gold kit costs more than a months rent for me. Not to mention that I have to find a way of it getting to me that will not include any family members collecting it for me by accident (or thinking they are doing me a favour). It would be less awkward for my mother (who will be house sitting for me when I go away for the holidays) to collect a box of porn than this.

Context: my mother is very conservative and (at least pretends) that I am completely innocent on topics such as porn and masturbation (a bit odd seeing as I am 32, but anyway). My father is in a line of "family tradition circumcisers" and would be horrified if he found that I was restoring, or would outright refuse to have any future sons circumcised. So very much a secret that I need to keep well hidden. I hope it isn't the case - but it is possible that my father could disown me for doing this if he found out. I have already had half my family (as in uncles and aunts) distance themselves from me because I am more successful than their kids, I would prefer not to be alienated from my circumcised side of the family as well...

Wow that would be expensive for a tlcx. I know I didn't like spending so much on mine but I figure the price is worth a new foreskin i'll have for the rest of my life. I'm actually in kind of a rut right now because i'm bottomed out on the tugger and I need to get a deeper pusher or a longer rod which I don't have the extra cash for right now:/ I have a hard time getting packages too because I still live with my parents I usually try my best to intercept them before somebody else checks the mail. I can't believe somebody's family would disown them just because they don't believe in circumcision, it's just such a stupid thing to flip out over but then again I don't talk about it to my family either because they would probably shame me about it or call me gay, it's sad really that parents can't be open and honest and let their sons talk about the things that they feel is right. If I do tell my family about restoration it probably won't be until after I restored or if I am having a son of my own and they try to pressure me to circumcise him, (hopefully the first option though, I'm too young to be having kids yet lol)

just keep on working on restoring that skin tube, tell yourself that you deserve it and you will feel amazing once you start to have coverage!

Joys of living in third world countries - anything made locally is cheap, anything imported is insanely expensive. Naturally this has its benefits - e.g. rent here is cheap by global standards, but conversely pay is also low by global standards. At one point, a friend of mine who was working as a waiter in the UK was out earning me even though I am a qualified professional.

I don't live with my parents, but I share a post box with my father, and if my mother house sits for me when I go to climb mountains - she will be all nosy and look in my cupboards, so anything I don't want her to find needs to be well hidden and not obvious.

If my parents found out - my mother would probably be confused because she is trained in the medical field (as a researcher, not a doctor) and will be under the impression that a foreskin is useless. I guess she lost a breast to cancer, so she might be able to relate in some ways - but I'm pretty sure in her mind that would be like comparing losing a finger nail to losing an arm. I genuinely don't know how my father would react - he has always been an outspoken advocate of people thinking for themselves (apparently with the exception of their foreskins and anything that influences him in any way), but I have no clue what he would say. I know my uncles would not approve, though - if I ever get engaged, I know that the first thing that will happen when my uncles meet with my fiance, is that she will be pulled aside and told that any sons we have will be circumcised. I don't plan on having kids (or getting married - another fact I am trying to keep from my parents) - but I would be wary of letting my hypothetical future son(s) go to the family for babysitting because I might come back and find he has lost a few square inches of skin due to an unnecessary medical procedure. I feel so strongly on the topic that I would actually go as far as not marrying a woman because she would be willing to let any future sons be circumcised.

If I was living on my own I would not let my parents into my house while I was gone, To me that's not very respectful of my privacy. I feel the same that I don't want any of my hypothetical sons to be circumcised against my will (or theirs) either, I don't think my parents or relatives would do anything drastic but I still would be on my guard. It's also sad that most women can't seem to understand our view on male genital cutting, they stand up against FGM but they think MGM isn't even an issue, it's so mind boggling. Some day I know i'll tell my family what I think about circumcision and how much pain it's caused me and I don't think i'll care what they think about me after that, but I guess i'm not that strong yet.
Also I think that's cool that you climb mountains, now you'll be able to climb 2 mountains at the same time! a physical mountain and a restoration mountain (you're definitely gonna love what's at the top of this one lol)

Seriously? You're a grown man. Tell em to fuck off. It's YOUR body and YOUR dick. Grow a set already. And the "cost" of getting a device to you is peanuts compared to the dis-service being circumcised is. Do you Want to be a slave to Viagra when you hit your 50s?

This sounds like a form of retaining or maybe very light packing. Growth will be very slow to occur, if any ever occurs, because the tension is too low to trigger new skin growth. You need more tension than just passively holding skin over the glans.

The TLC-X, especially if stored as its original parts, is not obvious as to what it is or what you would do with it if you don't know what it is to begin with.

mjwise : How would this be less effective than the o-ring approach? The gauze is wrapped tight and doesn't push my shaft in, so I imagine it is at least doing something.

parsecskin : in theory that is easy enough, but life isn't that simple. I live in a small town and have parents that talk too much, and know everybody. I am a professional that works with a large range of people in said small town and consequently have a fairly substantial amount to lose if strange talk starts circulating. I live in a very conservative (also known as "backwards") part of my country. My setup is perfect for me - it is a small enough town to be close to the mountains, but not so small that I can't get good work. The advantage of living in a conservative part of the world is that it will be easy for me to conceal any foreskin that I may manage to grow, thus keeping this secret is easy enough. The disadvantage is that the guy in charge of our local post office used to go out with my mother, so the packaging and invoice would have to be ultra-discreet for that not to end badly, aside from the subsequent steps. There are a hundred ways for my parents to find out. My mother has already told one of my closest friends about how I was circumcised and was confused when I was angry that she told him (a friend who I took great pains to keep this a secret from, especially after hearing him mock one of my other friends for being circumcised). So if she knew about this, I have no doubt that she would tell her friends, and news would spread. Naturally as the story grows, a lot of extras will be added on, presumably they would call me gay (while I am straight, I have no problem with homosexual people, but I live in a very homophobic part of the world), which further ups my chances of losing many of my clients.

Well, o-rings aren't very effective on their own either. Passively holding skin over the glans is unlikely to grow any skin. You simply need more tension than that.
