  • How long should I be doing this to achieve results?

    Hi!
At a tight CI-1 I really want to see results soon. Manual seems to be the only method suitable.

Can someone tell me how long I should be doing this to achieve visible results?

    Thanks!

You probably can use the canister method. Look it up on TLC Tugger's website. I believe there is a demo video of it. I too was cut at a stupid CI 1 and I started right off the bat with this method. After 8 or 9 months I was able to switch to the TLC X, just barely. I now, 2.5 years later I can hike my skin up to the top of the tugger body with no problem. And that is with a 3mm spacer to legthen the device, and I can extend the pusher almost flush with the wire handle. This really does work, keep at it.

That looks great.. But I don't think I could order it under the noses of my parents since I still live with them! Perhaps there is a 'make your own' version?

Allow me to repost a reply I made to a beginning restorer this morning:

For you, and others who may be just starting to restore and begin by tugging, if you get inspired by the progress you're making then I advise you to try the devices and consider the following advice I just posted on another site today to help a beginner.

I recommend both the DTR and the TLC. You may find it easier to start with the TLC, but at some point you will make faster progress with the DTR. The TLC will still come in handy for retaining and for times when you want to be less obvious when stretching.

First of all, you need to both apply and use the TLC and the DTR when you are soft. (This fellow was only inspired to restore when he was aroused, but wanted to get serious and start stretching.)

If you get erect every time you put it on that's pretty normal especially in the beginning when you're playing with new things and enjoying new sensations for the first time. If you get that aroused, go ahead and beat off. Enjoy yourself. Make it part of the process, if you like, so that you have an enjoyable experience rather than a frustrating one. If you are hard and beat off then your skin is automatically going to be stretched in the process. Use a warm, wet washcloth to wrap your penis as your erection subsides. As soon as you get good and soft, circle your penis with your hand an push your skin forward as much as you can over the glans. If you are able to stretch it beyond the rim of your glans then you're on your way.

I have just started restoring again after several years and I found that it was difficult to put my DTR on right away. I decided to spend a few days putting on moisturizers, doing manual tugging and using the TLC Tugger to relax my skin. After about 4-5 days I tried it again and it was quite easy to put on. In other words, even though I had been using the DTR on a regular basis years before, my skin was not as elastic as before, but manual tugging and retaining helped to relax it. I had the same difficulties you are having when I first started and manual tugging helped then as well. Give that a try for a week or so and see if you can get it on while flaccid. Use the wet, warm washcloth repeatedly tugging as well. The heat helps expand your skin and makes it more pliable.

Rather than using the DTR initially, you can practice by using the gripper by itself after your push your skin over your glans as far as you can while soft. I retain this way sometimes. If you get hard doing this you won't have any pain, it will just slip off. Just try again once you're soft. Once you've mastered that, then you can use the DTR push plate all by itself to apply pressure on your glans as you roll your skin forward and then put the gripper on. It takes some trial and error, but you don't have to completely cover the push plate. As long as you can get at least and 1/8" under the gripper then you're good to start.

After some manual tugging with creme moisturizer and retaining for a week or so, you should be able to try then entire DTR device again and get started on your path to restoring your foreskin. If you can't get it on comfortably, continue with the push plate and gripper until you can.

When you're tugging, don't worry if you get hard. Just continue to stretch your skin forward to the glans hand over hand. If you get excited enough to cum then go for it. After you've rested then you can focus on using your thumbs to roll your skin over your index fingers enough to stretch downwards, stretch and repeat going all around your penis. Trial and error is the key.

I hope these ideas help. Keep tugging. The benefits are worth it.

There is NO single answer to this. How long depends on how long you tug, how consistent you are at tugging, the type of skin you have (your genetics) and how your skin responds to tugging.

I've read posts from men who said they achieved full coverage in just a year -- no proof, just a claim, which sounded like nonsense to me. Some men say they can tug just 15 mins 2 times a day and get results. Again, no proof, just a claim. I also think this is nonsense.

In reality, you should expect your restoration to take at least a couple of years -- pictures of Ron's progress posted elsewhere on this website are a good baseline gauge -- but it could take much longer. It just depends.

As a newbie, what you need is PATIENCE and a long term perspective. If you tug consistently -- typically 5 days a week for around 8 hours a day for a year or so -- you will eventually see results but nobody can tell you "when" that will occur.

              Good luck!

A a general rule of thumb, average is 5-6 years of dedicated tugging. Younger guys get it done much quicker than older guys because your still growing some, so you've got that going for you.

Go watch the videos about the canister method on TLC Tugger website. Its reall good info. You can use a film canister or a pilltube. Whichever one fits better. If you have any questions after you watch the videos, pm me. I have some tricks and tips for this method. I started with it.

Just a friendly warning, try not to run up stairs or in general while wearing your canister. Even with quality medical tape there is still a chance that, if stretched too much, it can peel off layers of your skin. I was running up stairs at my job and this happened to me. It healed nicely and left no scar; however, I was very, very demoralized after this. This incident led me to only use manual methods, for now anyway.

Since you are a tight CI-1, and you want to see some results soon, my advice to you is to tug the scar line all around your penis for very short periods of time, as many times a day as possible. This is basically what manual method 3 is. It is called cyclic tensioning, and it is very effective way to restore your foreskin. I kept the length of my sessions to 2 minutes, and I tugged hourly from the time I woke up until I went to bed at night. With this very aggressive restoration routine, I managed to go from a CI-3 to a CI-8 within a year. If you can do this type of regiment, you should have at least a CI-3 or 4 by the end of the year.

I am really fascinated that shorter and more frequent sessions produce greater results. I rarely can take the device off - I have several methods, TCL, DTR and using DTR Air. Also Manual tugging. 10 months and I am from a CI-0 to a CI-1/2. But I had no idea short intervals were more effective. I know you don't use devices - but I have to scythe tension you get from them is great. Especially DTR with the rubber bands - Just ordered longer rods for the TLC. Thanks for all your contributions.

The cyclic approach is purported to achieve quick results by a couple of members here.. Try it and if it works for you great BUT is is not a proven FACT that this technique will work for EVERYONE.
