Tension is the same everywhere between fixed endpoints. Think of a tightly stretched clothes line. If you inserted a fishing scale at each endpoint or in the middle it would read the same.

HOWEVER, our skin tubes aren't just simple tensile members as we have some connective tissues which take up the tension along the way, and some guys have circumcision-induced adhesion of the otherwise slinky skin tube to the underlying structures. But for my money, thinking of it as a simple tension scenario is close enough. So the problem is deciding what the endpoints are. Near the glans the point just near the glans is referred to as the sulcus and the skin seems attached there. Near the base it gets ambiguous. On the ventral side we can usually see scrotal skin displaced while we're tugging, up onto the shaft. There are other threads on how to limit that skin creep to make sure the underside skin gets enough tension (feel free to re-ask if you can't find out about it).

I think most new tuggers find the sensation of skin and ligament tension near the base to be novel, but it's not because there is actually more tension there.

The strap's clips, the Canister's handles, and any safety pins are the biggest source of ferrous metal. All other metal components of TLC devices are aluminum or stainless. If it was me and I didn't want to set off a magnetometer, I would remove the ferrous bits and carry them in my purse, and add those back to my device set-up when I had a chance to use some privacy. I have worn a TLC-X through airport security several times since the heightened terror-conscious regime and I've never been subjected to further scrutiny because of it (except the one time I deliberately wore weights through to see what would happen).

Your mileage may vary. Every machine has a sensitivity that could be purposefully or accidentally dialed up. So I say be prepared to share the unvarnished truth at any moment. You are using a post-surgical brace to reverse some unwanted side-effects. Any further explanation will be provided in private. Any security person abusing information you provide is guilty of HIPAA violation and is probably breaching some company policy.

You will never tug with an amount of force that would cause damage. Tugging too many hours per day is not really a thing, although some say - based on a non-penis published study about cyclic tension being best for expansion - that the skin benefits from periods of rest. TLC Tugger ran a somewhat controlled trial in 2010 and the 25 subjects tugged an average of 11 hours per day and made astounding progress of 3mm per month improvement in forced reach of the skin tube (measured erect).

Yes. Never tolerate pain. Re-apply or remove promptly. You need a fail-safe scheme that lets you unclip the strap or release the retaining cone without parts hitting the floor, so you can exist that way until you're able to access privacy. A shoelace routed through the tugging handle with the other end pinned to pocket inside your slacks does the job.

For a comfortable grip, roll skin up to cover as much of the white Tugger body as you comfortably can to spread out the gripping force, and use gentle tension: https://tlctugger.com/4-hour-rule/

    Few questions for the TLC-Tugger

Where should the tension be, on the shaft or close to the scar? Also I work in an area with tight security and am prone to occasional security checks that require me to walk through a metal detector. Would the metal pieces on the strap or cones set off the metal detector? I don't know how I would possibly explain that to the security guards. What would be a good minimum amount of time for restoring, because I don't want to over do it and cause damage and just cause my skin to heal instead of grow. Should I stop as soon as I feel soreness setting in?
