  • Most effective way to use the TLC - X?

    Hello! I'm new to the forum and to tugging. Well i say new, i've been lurking for awhile.

    I'm using the TLC - X with the band setup.

    I'm wondering if there is a setup that works best, or are they all sort of equal and its down to personal preference?

    For me, I use the spring (controlling tension with adding spacers) and a tugging strap when possible. IMO, a tugging strap will give you more productive results. I feel that I just get better tension when using an external source of tension like a strap, but you can't beat how discreet the spring tension option is on its own.

        I use a combination of the two with my TLC X. I use an overhead elastic tugger strap over my bed and attach a small digital fish scale to the end of it. When I started with this setup, I was using a whopping 22 oz! Way too much. Had some growth, but now that I'm down to 8 to 9 oz, my growth rate is great. Since I am self employed and work from home, I can get in several 1/2 hour tugging sessions every day. I also use the pusher with the rubber bands when not tethered up. Occasionally I will use the strap around the leg. Don't like this method because the tugger tends to slip when tugging down the leg of around the waist. Finding YOUR optimum tension is where it's at and everyone's is different. The fish scale is the ONLY way to dial this in accurately. Once you find your optimum tension, growth flies!

          Hey parsecskin are you saying that for you lowering the tension actually increased the progress you where getting? It seems to me that the greatest tension that would remain comfortable for extended periods of time would reap the greatest growth. Perhaps I am wrong?

              Everyone's ideal tension is different due to many factors, with skin type and thickness being the biggest one. There are more. You just have to experiment and find YOUR ideal tension.Once you have found it, things start going faster.
