  • Tension Setting

Hey guys, I've been using the tlc tugger with the leg strap for a couple of weeks. I'm new to foreskin restoration so I'm still unclear on a lot of things.
Anyway, when I first started using the tugger I didn't understand about applying the correct tension and within less than an hour it hurt like hell so I tried loosening the strap on my leg a little and trying again but another hour later I got the same pinching sensation again and I realised that I was tugging too hard.

On the instructions page it says to start out with zero tension and slowly increase it every day until you get the right tension setting.

I am confused about the right way to change the tension setting with a leg strap. I realised I needed to start out slow so I have just been tying the leg strap really loosely on my leg, so loose that it practically hangs around my ankle and I have been making the strap a bit shorter everyday so the strap becomes tighter each day and now I am able to tie the strap firmly around my knee and ware it for 4 hours or more without pain.
The only other way to change the tension is to move the safety pin further up the strap so it has to stretch further when I clip it into place.
I think this is what Ron does in his video but I don't know if I'm supposed to change the position of the safety pin or not?

To sum things up I just dont quite fully understand how to adjust the tension properly with the leg strap for the tlc tugger and I don't want to spend forever experimenting with it
    Any advice is appreciated.

No worries, you're is a common mistake among newbies. I did it too. The best way to use the tugger strap around your knee is to go OVER the top of your knee to the outside. This will give you more consistent tension. To adjust simply shorten the strap for more tension.
Until you have figured out a comfortable tension take it easy. 4 hrs with No pain is is just right. Generally, no more than a pound of tension is needed, usually less. I use a small digital fish scale to measure the tension with an overhead tugging strap anchored to the ceiling above my bed. When I started I used too much (22 oz) and had some minor skin tears. They heal up, but still, too much. Now I'm using 8 oz and my growth is great. Everyone's ideal tension is different, you'll have to experiment to find yours, hence the fish scale. Once you have found it, you can replicate it by feel when using the leg strap.

Please watch the demo video on leg strapping: https://vimeo.com/50153996

Loose tension is not the same is a strap that is loose AROUND the leg.

      1) Secure the Tugging device to your penis.

      2) Clip the single-thick end of the ComforTug strap to the device.

      3) Run the strap down to the inside of the knee joint.

      4) Apply the safety pin in the strap even with the hinge of the knee joint. Be gentle with pin so it goes between elastic fibers rather than tearing them.

      5) Hold the pinned strap against the knee while running the remainder of the strap around the front of the leg below the knee. Wrap it around the back and all the way around again.

      6) Clip the double-thick end of the strap to the safety-pinned spot on the strap. The pin prevents the clip from slipping.

      7) Rotate the whole strap setup around the leg so that the strap bears more from the front of the leg than from the inside. (This allows for more consistent tension between walking and seated modes).

      8) Fine-tune the strap length adjustment for comfort by the 4-Hour Rule http://TLCTugger.com/4-hour-rule/.

In practice, I don't go through these steps every time. Since I wear a tubular elastic knee brace under the strap for comfort, I just unclip and then slip the knee brace and strap off as a unit. It goes back on quickly as a unit. Launder the knee brace and straps only as often as necessary.

When I started out with my tugger I experienced a pinching sensation too. I could only wear it for 45 minutes or so. My skin needed more mobility and slack which took several months of using taped canisters, then back to trying my tugger again until I could wear my tugger for several hours at a time. I no longer experienced the pinching sensation when I had enough mobility and slack to cover around 50% of the tugger body. If your skin is still tight, you may want to take this into consideration. Best wishes

I did an experiment with some kitchen scale weights by hanging them on the tugger just to give me an idea of how the tension should feel. I was probably using way more than a pound of tension before no wonder it hurt lol. I've ajusted the strap to be just a little less than 32 inches so it stays firmly wrapped around my knee joint and I found I can decrease or increase the tension by adjusting the safety pin. The tension I've got now is almost right I accasionally get abit of pain so I may have to dial it back abit to get it just right but I can ware it for four hours without extreme pain or irritation. I dont think it was tight skin that was the cause of pain rather that I had more than a pound of tension tugger away at my shaft skin causing redness and soreness. Anyhow looks like I'm getting the hang of it thanks for the advice guys I appreciate it. Btw I believe ron is restored I think he just ment thats how he used to apply the strap.

This is such a technical endeavor. There is a HUGE learning curve and as you grow skin you have to adapt to your changing needs. There's no cut and dry anything with restoring especially when it comes to tension. Its real easy to over Do it. Think of it this way. This whole process works exactly the same way a fat person's skin grows to accommodate their increased size, only it's done in a directed and controlled manner. When a person is on their way to becoming obeast, there isn't much tension, it's just there all the time and they still get stretch marks sometimes. Slow and steady with easy tension gets it done.

I tug in fits and starts when testing new approaches.

When you say adapt to your growing needs does that mean you have to add more tension when you've got more skin or does the tension setting always stay the same? Are you likely to get stretch marks if tugging too hard?
