My guess, only guess, is that the best, fastest, method is the one that you can use comfortably on a daily basis. Some experimentation is necessary to discover which method(s) suit you best and which regimens suit you best.
Experiment and then tell us.

Why do you think the T-tape method is faster? I've been sticking to the cone out of a perceived discomfort with removing the tape each day, but if it leads to faster growth, maybe it's worth it...

I was a T-taper, and strapping up and around my waist meant that my penis was drawn up and plastered to my abdomen. This works fine when you T-tape. However, when I tried to do the same with a cone tugger of the times (early 2000's) - a Tug Ahoy - my foreskin would always get hopelessly pinched between the cones where the cones rubbed against my abdomen. I tried, as Tormod has pointed out, to fashion a spacer so the cone would be in mid-air at all times, and not touch my abdomen. I tried wearing a piece of foam rubber between my abdomen and the strap. Nothing worked, and I went back to T-tape. Thus, I never had the convenience of a cone device, (but I think the T-tape method is faster anyway). Perhaps there is a better engineer out there who can solve the problem so that guys who must tug up can use a TLCtugger too.

Around the waist and general. I used custom made elastic tug straps. You may need to put some form of spacer between the clip and your skin so that the force on the TLC is directed along its axis.
Down the leg. I used a long tug strap which went around my leg twice and ended in a loop under my foot. (See the T-tape instructions for a photo.) The long length of elastic strap caused length changes caused by sitting, standing to be small compared with the total length. Thus giving a more constant tension.
My tensioning straps always were contained inside an old, out-of-fashion, necktie. This made the elastic slide easier - much less friction against my leg/belly/back skin.

I can't get the device to stay put that way. It slips too easily. Granted I haven't tried it that way for over a year. Maybe now that I have more skin it will work better. I'll have to try it.

Strapping around the waist
I can't remember where I saw it, but somewhere I saw a pic of a guy using the TLC by wrapping the strap around his waist. I've tried this and really like it. I find it more comfortable, and easier to get a consistent tension (around the leg's either too tight when standing or too loose when sitting). Do many people do it this way? Any reason not to tug this way? I've been switching from left to right to keep a balance.Tags: None
