  • TLC-X - skin under the push plate is sore from pressure

    Hi everyone,

I've been using the TLC-X routinely for some time now (7 months). Recently in the last couple weeks or so, the skin under my head where the push plate rests has become sore. The rest of the skin for the stretch has been totally fine, just that particular area has become more tender and I can't seem to stretch as long.

Has anyone else experienced this before and if so, what should I be doing to minimize the pain? I'm pretty sure that the reason for this is my inner foreskin remnant has become more sensitive and the nerves are more awake since the dry skin has really flaked off.

My routine: 5 days a week for 9-10 hours per day while taking the weekends off to rest. Currently I can't seem to wear my device more than 4-5 hours per day without discomfort or pain.

    Thanks for any tips.

When you put on the device, try putting a VERY light coat of Aquaphor on the pusher. That should help. It keeps the sticky pusher from sticking to your head.

Thanks for the suggestion! But, do you have a more internationally friendly suggestion. The prices in Germany are about 2x what they cost in the US because they are all imported. What is the basic ingredient I should be looking for?

I also feel that the pusher is a little bit dry and my skin is more sweaty now during the summer which causes it to stick. I can totally see that as being a factor in this.

Aquaphor is great, but it's basically petroleum jelly (aka Vaseline).

Ah ha! OK, now I have a bit of research to do, so thanks for pointing me in the right direction with that.
