  • Getting the retaining cone on?

Ok so is there some trick to this? I roll (with some difficulty) my skin onto the cone and I can cover about half the cone but when I go to put the retaining cone on I roll off or loose much of what was rolled onto the cone and it takes a few tries (best was 6 tries) to get it on and proper ( I think) and with all that manual manipulation I then have another problem cause I've become erect. Is there a way to do this that im not seeing or do I need 3 hands to do this cause that could make work place conversation awkward. (hey steve come here and hold my dick while I put my retainer on) haha.

I run into the same problem, was thinking of contacting Ron on the matter. I can roll skin close too the wire at top but once I apply the cone it seems the inside diameter and angle of the retaining cone is too small and pushes some of the skin back to be left with not as much skin left in contact (roughly half of the device) with the retaining cone for a good grip. I don't know if I have thicker skin than most or I need a bigger retaining cone. I have recently removed all the hair on my shaft by plucking it which has helped tremendously with the grip but still feel feel the retaining cone is too small. Have you been having trouble with it slipping off?

No I haven't had any problems yet with it slipping off except once and I think it was because I didnt have the cone down enough to grip it.

it gets easier with practice, and more skin.
one thing you could try, would be to trim a little off of the small end of the retainer cone. that will make the opening a little wider and easier to handle.

Ravan, there are 2 methods (below) that someone recommended to me that work very well. As you get more skin of course it will get very easy: I particularly like the film canister (pill bottle) method...

Best way is to fold the retaining cone back on itself and place it in something to hold it that way. A pill bottle works good. Then hold your skin where you want it in an OK symbol grip.and pick up the folded cone with the other hand by your finger tips, lower it into position and flip the sides down while removing the other hand all in one quick motion. Takes a little practice, but it works very well one you get the hang of it.

I hold the pusher against my glans with my left hand...then going all the way around with my right hand, I pull the skin out and over the pusher, lifting a left thumb/finger to hold each section in place (imagine it looking sorta like Manual Method 4). While I'm holding the skin under my left thumb and fingers, I make an 'OK' with my right thumb and index finger, and hold/bunch the skin up toward the collet, also gripping the pusher underneath. Now holding everything in place with my right 'OK' sign, I remove my left hand, grab the cone, and in one motion, slip it over the bunched up skin as my right hand slowly releases it into the cone. Holding the cone with my left hand, I gently pull any extra bunched up skin out of the cone with my right, then give a firm pull on the cone to secure it over my skin and set the tension rod. Boom, done. Great application nearly every time.
