I have been part of this forum for a couple of months now (ever since it came back), but still haven't written any kind of introduction. Here goes...
I wasn't originally circumcised as a baby, but when I was 16, I learned that I had phimosis. My mother and I were not aware of any other information regarding the condition or what it was, but she decided it was best for me to get circumcised. (after all, she wanted kids at some point) The doctor told us that I would have to get the operation done. If they simply cut the connecting skin, it would apparently leave my penis looking disfigured. Initially, I resisted, but then I wondered what it would be like to be cut, and the idea sprang up to me that maybe more guys would accept me because of our similarity. Needless to say, I went through with it. I had to. I think after that operation, I wasn't ever again completely satisfied with my sexual experiences or my sex life. I kept having to substitute my lack of sensitivity with different kinds of pornography and I needed more and more as I developed a dry and insensitive shaft. Going from such sensitivity and pleasure to a much much much more dull one caused me to be unsatisfied with my sexuality.
Now being 22, I decided to start restoration. To be more accurate, I decided in September of this year. I had read quite a bit about it in previous months, and finally committed. I was initially afraid to tell my partner. I was extremely embarrassed and self-conscious, but she turned out to be completely supportive of my decision. I cannot stress how important it is to have someone supporting you throughout this journey. I have just entered my fourth month of tugging last week. I find that I am now much more sensitive, and I get a lot more out of sex with my significant other. I actually have to stop myself from ejaculating quite often now. I think that we are both happier because of this, and she feels like she is better able to satisfy me. More so, I don't feel like I have to rely anywhere as much on pornography. For once in a long time, I am able to masturbate without any other stimuli but myself. I think I am heading in the right direction.
I feel like I am getting back what was taken from me, and I am so excited to keep working on this and to achieve full coverage. I think my progress is giving me increased confidence as I go on.
