I am 19 and was circumcised at birth. I have been curious about restoration for about five years now. I have tried some homemade methods for just retaining the skin over the glans. I recently had a conversation with my mother that somehow ended up with me telling her about this and she expressed regret that I was cut saying that she didn't really want it to happen but let my father decide. She went on to say that she would help me pay for a device so I am considering starting with the tlc-x. I am at about a CI-2. Any advice would be appreciated as I am ready to start on the path to restoring so that I can work toward having some skin back to help with sensation and relieving some of the tightness.

I am really pleased you have your mothers support. I had mine also. It will be worth it.View My Progress Gallery @ https://foreskinrestoration.vbulleti...ooded-progress

The fact that you can openly talk about this with your mother is incredible! After a couple of years of restoring I did open up to my parents about how I felt about circumcision. They apologized but still didn't quite agree with me. I did not have the courage, however, to tell them about restoring my foreskin. I intend to show them the final results instead. I started at 18, so pretty close in age to you. I started with manual tugging for a couple of months and then switched to the tlc-x. You should choose whichever method causes you to tug the most. In my case, I constantly switched from the tlc-x with the collet to the tlc-x with the rubber bands. Just this month I finally bought a ComforTug strap (thank you, Ron). I find that it's less annoying than wearing the tlc-x with rubber bands as I can use the shorter rod. Best of luck to you!Check out my restoration progress gallery here!

Congrats on starting, or looking to start. I have been at this for 5 weeks now and can already tell a difference. I went with the DTR because it seemed like the best option for me and already I went from the 4 inch rod to the 5 inch rod. The best device for you will be the one that you use consistently.
It's good that your mother was so supportive. Most parents typically become defensive on topics that involve a decision that they made, especially when they understand that it impacts you for the rest of your life. My mother wasn't nearly as supportive on the matter, so be thankful that not only she is supportive but also that she is willing to purchase the device that you are considering.
Good luck on your journey, this forum is an incredible resource for people who are interested in restoring. If I know one thing in life, The fastest way to success is through consistency. Thinking of stopping / need some motivation? PM me.
