Hello. I'm glad I found this forum because I've just started to get into trying to restore and I think I'm doing it fairly correctly but I just want to make sure I'm not doing something that might, um, break things.
Since I'm just starting out it doesn't seem like I have enough shaft skin to use the devices I've seen, so I decided to go with tape methods at first. And by 'at first' I'm guessing it'll be something like the first year.
Today was the first day I went to work wearing tape and a strap. It was about the third day I've worn the setup at all. It wasn't as that bad at all and most of the day I didn't notice it. Much better than I thought it would be.
But wearing it all day made a few questions arise in my mind.
I'm basically using a T-Tape method using Micropore tape because it seemed like the method that would work the best for me at first. The tape has its drawbacks but what are you gonna do?
My current concerns that arose today have to do with effects of the tape and the way it tugs. The first time I tried to put the tape on I was about half hard but when the tape cured to the skin the ring it made was a little too tight, so I tried putting the tape on while hard and that worked much better. The problem seems to be when the penis goes back to flaccid the tape is still stuck to the skin but the tape and the skin are kind of wrinkled together and when it's being tugged the wrinkles are tugged, making it look 'striped' if you can picture what I mean. This doesn't seem right or look right. Is this a drawback of the T-tape method or am I doing it wrong? Are other tape methods better?
Also, when tugging, the skin doesn't make it all the way over the glans. It makes it up and almost over the corona, but it kind of pulls on the glans, which in turn pulls on the shaft, not just the shaft skin. I don't want to tug on my whole penis all day, just the shaft skin. Is this something I just have to put up with until I have enough skin to pull entirely over my glans?
And does anyone know a way to pull only on shaft skin without the shaft skin also pulling on abdominal skin? It would seem that the most efficient method would somehow hold in place the skin where the shaft meets the abdomen while pulling on the shaft skin.
I appreciate any replies.
Again, really glad to find this forum.
