Yep. Adhesi-Med is THE shit! I used it when I started with the canister method instead of the inside out tape on the canister body. Ain't nothing better. Just be sure to get the citrus based adhesive remover. Mefix tape works great on the outside.

When I used tape, I found that pressing the tape hard against the skin was helpful in getting good adhesion. Also, I applied the tape after my morning shower, so that skin oils and dead cells would be minimized. And, I waited 20 minutes before applying tension to allow the adhesive to set up. Perhaps you could try some of those tips, if you have not.

triskelean - I used Mefix tape (made as T-tape) with a tension of about 0.7kg and it lasted for upwards of 30 hours.
Could the problem be the preparation of the skin before putting the tape on? I washed with soap, then carefully rinsed and dried. Further, I let the tape adhere to my skin for maybe 15 minutes before tensioning it.

    canister device

    hello

I'd like to know if anybody can offer some advice that would be much appreciated

I have been using the canister device for a while in the attempt to gain enough slack skin to move on to the next stage (of the restoration process).

I have experienced a few stumbling blocks which I hope to have worked out but I've lately come across a new one for which I hope to receive some advice.

the latest issue is concerning the 'mefix' tape & skin that is rolled up & taped around the canister that is often coming undone (or in other words, the skin is slowly peeling itself off of the canister from in between the mefix tape until eventually coming undone) during the course of an average day.

I know that it probably has sthg (but not everything) to do with the amount of tension that is being applied from the tugging strap and I am aware that the logical suggestion would be to reduce the tension.

however, I think everybody knows that in using any restoration method, we are in the business of results, and I have found results to be minimal on lower tension settings, hence the reason for the (gradual) increases.

so I doubt that I will be able to compensate the amount of tension being applied from the strap given that this is likely to compromise the all important results.

and in any case, I am fairly sure that this is not the 100% cause of the problem.

I've recently started to use a new canister that is made up of a bendier (and slightly flimsier) type of material and so I wonder whether or not the material the canister is made up of could have sthg to do with the problem?

by this I mean that maybe the mefix tape and skin could hold tighter to a sturdier canister or material of canister?

or if there was an even stronger form of adhesive than the mefix tape that could help to solve the issue?

or could it be a question of introducing both a sturdier material of canister and stronger mefix/adhesive tape together?

    or sthg else altogether?

I am sure there is another answer & solution, I could just do with a little help to work it out.

I'd be grateful for any kind of advice or feedback

    many thanks, triskelean
